Virgin Media announces 400 job creations

The business internet and telecommunications provider is creating 400 jobs across the UK.
Following growing demand for TV and broadband services, Virgin Media is taking on 230 employees at Swansea, 90 new engineering and 40 customer care roles in Manchester, and 40 customer care jobs in Birmingham.
Virgin Media created 620 jobs, after opening a centre of excellence on the Swansea Enterprise Park in July 2012 .
Earlier this month, it was revealed that US cable television giant Liberty Global has agreed to buy the UK’s Virgin Media for $23.3bn (£15bn), making it the world’s largest broadband company. Over 4,000 workers will receive shares of thousands of pounds following the deal.
