Vesta to cut 1,400 jobs
23 August 2012
The Danish wind turbine company Vestas has announced job cuts of 1,400 as demand continue to drop.
These cuts will reduce the total workforce to 19,000, saving up to £79million in cost savings as their profit margin for 2012 struggles between 0-4%.
Earlier this year, Vestas had already announced that they would cut 2,335 jobs in 2012 as they prepared for 2013 to be even tougher on the firm.
