Marks & Spencer to create 500 jobs with instore banking

Marks & Spencer has announced it is launching an in-store banking facility this summer, creating 500 by the end of 2013.
The venture into banking is backed by HSBC and services will include current accounts, available from autumn 2012, with mortgages to follow at a later date.
Over the next two years, over 50 M&S Bank branches will open in stores across the UK, with the first branch set to open in July at Marks & Spencer’s flagship Marble Arch store.
400 of the job roles will be customer based in branches across the country whilst 100 will be at the company’s Chester based HQ.
