Marks & Spencer to create 20,000 Christmas roles
8 October 2012
Marks & Spencer has launched its seasonal recruitment campaign to hire on an extra 20,000 employee across its UK stores this Christmas.
The retailer is taking on 5,000 more Christmas temps than last year, of which more than one in five were made permanent employees after finishing their seasonal contracts.
All new recruits take part in a two day induction training session to ensure they are fully-equipped to offer the best possible customer service. Recruits will also receive the M&S reward package, including a 20% discount on M&S products.
In addition, Argos, Amazon, Sainsbury's and Poundland are also creating 49,000 temporary jobs between them.
Borer's FUSION Time Recording System
With a high number of employees on payroll, using Borer's FUSION Time Recording System will help reduce management involvement and the administrative effort required to manage a time management scheme.
It is labour demanding to manage and maintain a centrally administered or paper based flexitime system. Invariably, queries arise in relation to flexi balances and the process can become a very complicated one, particularly for the HR department.
Implementing an automated time and attendance system makes things very easy for both employees and their managers alike.
