Security companies keen to get involved with London’s Olympic Games in 2012 have been invited to a special industry event.
Firms from across the sector can attend the Olympic Delivery Authority’s (ODA) one-day meeting, where they will be able to learn more about procuring work at the Games.
Held on the 24th of October, the security industry day will provide prospective contractors with information on the security and safety demands of the highly-anticipated Games.
With a particular focus on the construction and legacy phases of the Olympic Park, the ODA is looking for companies that deal with:
Access Control
To enable authorised personnel and vehicle entry into the Olympic Park construction site.
CCTV, IDS and Lighting
CCTV, security lighting systems and intruder detection systems to be integrated with, and form a part of, the perimeter security.
Command, Control, Communication and Intelligence (C3i)
Integration of a wide range of systems to ensure a coordinated and secure flow of information between command nodes and security systems.
Screening
Covering arrangements for screening at vehicle and personnel access points as well as vessels, trains and materials.
Security Guarding and Systems Operation
Including the full range of security guarding services required for a construction project, including the provision of security guards and staff to operate systems.
A maximum of 300 people will be able to attend, with just two attendees from each company allowed.
To get involved, e-mail securityindustryday@london2012.com by 10.00 am on the 17th of October 2007.
