Asda to create 2,500 jobs in the UK

Supermarket chain Asda is to create 2,500 jobs as it invests £700m into online operations, new and existing stores and its supply chain.
Britain’s second biggest online grocers reported a 4.5% rise in total sales on the year before and will now focus on accelerating growth of its multichannel business
The company opened a third purpose-built picking centre last month which provided 600 new jobs.
Part of Walmart, it currently employs around 175,000 people in the UK at 568 stores and depots in the UK.
