Air France to cut 2,800 jobs

Air France-KLM is to announce a 2,800 job cuts following weaker-than-expected revenues this year.
The company also plan to phase out its costly Boeing 747 aircraft by 2016.
The cuts come on top of the company’s existing plan that was outlined in 2011, which aimed to shed 5,100 jobs.
French unit Chief Executive, Frederic Gagey, is to detail the case for redundancies and route closures in the airline’s short –haul, medium-haul and cargo businesses.
The company employs over 69,000 people but has suffered with fuel prices and low growth.
