KFC plans to create 1,600 UK jobs

KFC will increase its growth for the UK this year by creating 1,600 jobs, opening more than 40 new stores and spending an additional £40 million giving 160 outlets a facelift.
The restaurant chain has been expanding at a rate of 30 branches a year, but last it grew by 40 stores. KFC currently employs 24,000 employees in the UK.
KFC is part of the Yum! Brands group, which also owns brands such as Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. It increased sales by six per cent to £394 million in the year to December 2011.
