Borer Data Systems has launched ATRACS Web – a Web Powered extension to Borer’s ATRACS Time and Attendance software.

ATRACS Web eliminates the paperwork normally associated with the administration of attendance recording systems. It electronically delivers comprehensive and accurate reports and allows administration to be undertaken directly from any designated desktop PC using the PC’s own Web Browser.

Borer’s ATRACS Web works by linking the attendance and personnel data, which is held on an organisation’s central ATRACS database to an Intranet web site. Any member of staff, with the required level of password clearance, can then access this information by simply logging on to this web site using their PC’s own Web browser.

With the minimum of administrative effort, time and paperwork, managers can quickly obtain up to the minute staffing information identifying who is in attendance as well as viewing holiday, sick leave and absence records.

If desired, selected employees can login and view their own attendance history as ell as suggest amendments to adjust attendance or absence anomalies. These changes will be queued ready to be authorised by the designated manager.

ATRACS Web efficiently handles attendance management, personnel tracking and staff locating. ATRACS Web allows managers to view attendance and absence details for the members of their own workgroup. A manager can review a staff member’s attendance and absence history and list those members of staff currently in attendance, on holiday or absent.

A manager can use ATRACS Web to authorise absence or holidays or generate an instant roll call listing all personnel on site; invaluable in the event of a site emergency. Because it is a Web based application, ATRACSWeb provides important savings on software costs as it eliminates the need for large numbers of software licences.

ATRACS Web is designed to run under Microsoft NT or 2000 Servern using Microsoft Internet Information Server. It supports all modern browser technology, working equally well with Internet Explorer version 4 and above and Netscape version 4.

Borer has developed ATRACS as a highly cost-effective personnel information system. It is intended to run on a client’s existing corporate network (LAN or WAN) to link one or more sites into one efficient and fully integrated staff information system.

ATRACS provides a single platform that combines access control, attendance recording, visitor management, alarm monitoring and photo-ID card production functions, into one enterprise–wide security information system.
