Borer's card access readers are energy efficient using “Power Over Ethernet” (PoE) technologies to power a door access readers and electric or magnetic lock down CAT5e network cable.

Smart Savings of up to £600 per door using Smart Power
The Midspan Bridge enables the integration of access controlled doors and alarm points via a TCP/IP network connection to a central management system and database.
The Midspan Bridge can supply power and data up to EIGHT complete door sets consisting of 'In and Out' readers, two magnetic locks/strikes and door alarm/sensor. These are safely powered down a CAT5e network cable saving between £200 and £600 on the cost of installing a mains power outlet and power supply at each door.
The Midspan Bridge provides a secure LAN connection as it communicates via the local network, permitting only registered devices to connect to the corporate LAN. This makes it impossible for anyone to hack into the LAN via a CAT5e cable plugged into any of the Midspan Bridge's network ports.
