DEFINITIONS: In these Terms and Conditions "The Company" means Borer Data Systems Ltd (Company no. 1207085) whose registered office is at Crown House, Toutley Road, Wokingham, RG41 1QN, and the "Purchaser" means any person or company who buys or has agreed to buy goods and "Goods" mean any goods or services supplied by the Company and "Conditions" means the terms and conditions set out on this website.
Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept Visa and MasterCard using Worldpay as our Payment Service Provider. If you do not wish to pay online, you may place your order via phone, fax or by post. We also accept payment by Cheque and if you have an account with us - an invoice will be sent.

An "Order Acknowledgement" email will follow on receipt of your purchase and a "Order Shipped" email when your order has been posted out. If an item is Out-of-Stock or there is any delay on your order, a notification email will be sent.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

Confirmation of your order is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular actual product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

There is a minimum order of £30.00

Account Holders - Invoicing and Payment


The company shall invoice the Customer upon dispatch of the Goods from their premises or from the premises of its suppliers and payment of the full invoice sum will be due within 30 days of the date of the Company’s invoice and the time of payment shall be the essence of the contract. The Company does not accept any retention.

Unless specified in the quotation, the price payable in respect of any delivery of the goods by instalment shall be such proportion of the total price under the Contract as the Company may reasonably decide.

The company reserves the right to require payment of the full price of the goods prior to delivery to the Purchaser. The Company shall give written notice of the exercise of this right to the purchaser.

If the Purchaser fails to make any payment when due then, without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to the Company, the Company shall be entitled to:-

a. terminate the contract and/or suspend any other further deliveries to the Purchaser: and/or
b. apply any ‘on account’ payments to whatever part of the debt the Supplier deems appropriate: and/or
c. charge the Purchaser compounded interest (both before and after any judgement) at the rate of 3% per month above the bank base rate (apportioned by the day) from the due date until payment made in full.
Shipping And Handling

Our delivery costs is based on the weight of your package. During the checkout process, you will be presented with several shipping options depending on your weight of your final package.

RETURNS: After 7 day cancellation period, goods supplied may not be returned for credit without written consent of the Company and any Goods which are returned without such consent will be refused. A QMF 28 Returns form must be completed by the Purchaser and a returns number issued by the Company before an item is accepted for return. Goods returned for credit will only be accepted if they are undamaged and with their original packaging complete with associated documentation. Subject to the Company’s discretion a minimum handling charge of 15% will be levied on all goods returned for credit.

WARRANTY: All equipment manufactured by Borer Data Systems and purchased after January 1st 2010 will benefit from a warranty against electronic failure which extends for a period of three years from date of dispatch. The warranty is subject to the equipment being installed and electrically terminated by a competent person in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and used in an appropriate manner. Borer will repair, replace or recondition at its discretion any equipment returned under warranty in accordance with Borer's published returns policy (paragraph 9). Equipment damaged during installation or damage caused by fire, water ingress, electrical discharges such as mains born interference or lightning, wilful or accidental damage, inappropriate electric connection or loading are not covered by warranty. A charge will be levied for any equipment erroneously returned for warranty repair which is found to be without fault.

REPAIRS: Goods returned for repair must be accompanied by the QMF 28 Returns form together with a description of the suspected defect. Repair charges will be incurred for any goods returned outside the manufacturers warranty period or damaged through faulty installation or misuse.

DAMAGED IN TRANSIT: The Company shall not be liable for faulty or damaged Goods unless such fault or damage can be shown to have risen prior to despatch. (a “Pre-Dispatch Defect”).

Any claim by the Purchaser which is based on a Pre Dispatch Defect shall be notified to the Company within 7 days from the date of delivery or (whereas the defect or failure was not apparent on reasonable inspection) within a reasonable time after the discovery of the defect or failure. Following notification the Company may, at its sole discretion, repair, replace or issue a credit note in respect of defective Goods. The purchaser must retain the Goods with the original packing for Inspection and return them, carriage paid and at the risk of the Purchaser to the Company.
Delivery Schedule

We will normally send your order to you in 7 business days if instock.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

The Goods shall be delivered to the address stated in the quotation or if no address is so stated then to any trading address of the Purchaser. Any delivery dates quoted are estimated only and time shall not be the essence of the contract with regard to such estimated dates. The company will accept no liability for failure to supply or deliver within the period quoted. The Company shall be entitled to make partial deliveries by instalments and these terms and conditions shall apply to each such delivery. Risk in the goods shall pass to the Purchaser upon delivery to the address. The Purchaser is advised to insure accordingly.

FORCE MAJEURE: The Company accepts no liability for delay in delivery or failure to deliver Goods arising out of any cause whatsoever beyond reasonable control or the control of its suppliers.

Cancellation Policy



Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

You are entitled to cancel your order within 7 working days of receipt of acknowledgement for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days if goods are returned within 7 working days in their original and undamaged condition. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added.
